JUST IN: EC To Conduct Another Elections For Nkoranza North And South
In accordance with the District Level Elections Regulations, 2015 (C.I. 89), the Electoral Commission has announced that, it will conduct the Nkoranza North and Nkoranza South district Level Elections on Friday the 16th of April, 2021.
This follows the expiration of term of Office of the Assembly and Unit Committee Members in the two districts.
Nomination Forms may be obtained at the District Offices in the affected areas or on the Website of the Electoral Commission – www.ec.gov.gh. Nomination forms shall be delivered in quadruplicate by the Proposer or Seconder together with two post-card sized copies of recent photographs (bust) to the Returning Officer of the Electoral Area for which the Candidate seeks election from Tuesday the 9th to Friday the 12th of March 2021, between the hours of 9.00am to 12.00pm and then, 2:00pm to 5:00pm on each day.
The Nomination forms for each Candidate of the Election to the District Assembly shall be witnessed by the signature or remark of the Proposer and a Seconder, and supported by Eighteen (18) other persons who are resident and registered to vote in the Electoral Area.
The Nomination forms for each Candidate in the Election to the Unit Committee shall be witnessed by the signature or mark of a Proposer or Seconder and supported by Eight (8) other persons who are resident and registered to vote in the Electoral Area.
All enquiries related to these Elections should be addressed to the District Offices within the areas mentioned.
Therefore, the Electoral Commission of Ghana will conduct the district level elections for the assembly and the unit committee members for the Nkoranza North and Nkoranza South districts respectively on Friday, April 16th, 2021.
This follows the expiration of the term of office of the assembly and unit committee members of both districts.
In a press release, the Commission disclosed that, it has initiated for the nomination forms and it is available at the District offices of the affected areas as well as it’s website respectively.
It further directed candidates to deliver the nomination forms to the Returning Officer of the electoral area for which they seek for the election
