Noah Lyles wins 200m world championship
Noah Lyles remarkably stormed to a 200m World Championships gold, breaking the stunning records of Michaels Johnson’s, the American record in Eugene, Oregon on Thursday (21).
The 25-year-old Noah Lyles has tremendously repeated as the world 200m champion, clocking 19.31 seconds. He shaved 0.01 seconds from Michael Johnson’s American record set at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. The silver medal seized Kenneth Bednarek with a season’s best time of 19.77. Erriyon Knighton took the bronze and became the youngest athlete in sprinting events to win a medal in world championships history.
