Kennedy Agyapong urges Nabco to embark on demonstration for arrears
The member of Parliament for Assin central constituency in the Central region of Ghana, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, has indicated that the only means through which the Nabco Trainees can use for the government to pay their 8 months arrears is protest.
Speaking in an up-close account with GTV, monitored by myjoyghana.com, the clamorous member of Parliament of the incumbent Party suggested to the trainees to hit the street to demand for the settlement of their arrears.
The member of Parliament claimed against the government for its delay to pay the Nabco Trainees their allowances after ordering them to go back to work amidst their contract expiration.
“I resolve only protest can solve their dispute. I feel for their burns, because you cannot hire someone and ignore to compensate him or her. This is sheer depravity. The government must pay them as soon as possible,” the senator explained.
The entrepreneur reiterated that the government has not treated the trainees with respect since the commencement of the program, believing the Nabco secretariat must be up and doing to clarify the plague.

It was subsequently inaugurated in 2018 with some hundred thousand trainees getting jobs opportunities into both public and private sectors under seven modules, namely, Civic Ghana, Enterprise Ghana, Revenue Ghana, Heal Ghana, Educate Ghana, Feed Ghana and Digitise Ghana.
