ATTACHED IS THE PETITION TO THE SPEAKER OF PARLIAMENT

PETITION TO HELP THE ABOVE MENTIONED ASSOCIATION TO HOLD GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABLE ON ITS PROMISES MADE TO OFFER NABCO BENEFICIARIES PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT

Diligently , CONAT on behalf of NABCO trainees officially write to your Noble House to help us hold GOVERNMENT accountable on its promises made prior to 2020 general election to integrate NABCO beneficiaries into the permanent mainstream works.

Respectfully , reference to our letter dated 8/06/2020 petitioned the esteemed office of the president to mechanize the NABCO scheme to compensates our relentless efforts and years of sacrifices we have made towards expanding the productivity of our dear Nation Ghana .

We recount that prior to the 2020 general election , the government hastily introduce Career Pathways Transition Process which dovetails into NABCO Trainees Germaine sentiment and grievances to seeking for permanent jobs base on our credentials and the sacrifices we’ve demonstrated in the corporate environment.

Candidly, we must confess that we have continually braced our hard work in the various agencies sacrificially on full conviction , pulses and hopes of realization of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo solemn promise to Integrate NABCO trainees to the permanent mainstream jobs .

CONAT’s observation shows clearly that there has been batch recruitment in all government institutions where NABCO trainees have been posted to which has never emphatically targeted Trainees . The constant recruitment at the various institutions where trainees are working is enough evidence of the availability of ample spaces to *commence progressively the Career Pathways Transition Process* (CPTP)which optioned to usher NABCO beneficiaries into the permanent mainstream works and resource section who chose to venture into entrepreneurship since the scheme is at the verge of ending .

On behalf of NABCO trainees , we therefore call on Ghana’s Speaker of Parliament and Parliamentarians to make it encumbrance , mandatory on the part of the government to create corporate environment holistically connected to the merits and facilities of the scheme so that the huge number of vulnerable trainees can equally thrive on their hard work ,sacrifices and skills gained in the various agencies to equitably access permanent opportunities before the contract expires in order not to be retrograded into our previous unemployed situation amid the state of job scarcity.

Again, we humbly suggest that if possible, the promise made by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo which led to the introduction of brighter and much promising Career Pathways should be given legal sanctity to ensure implementation before the program expires.

In addition to our petition , it is all-important to bring to the notice of this August House that some section of NABCO Trainees seemingly faces post-election bad debts which we would plead with your Honourable House to hold government answerable to exhume arrears issues engulfed the scheme so that no hard working Trainees finally leaves the program , filled with agony and resentments .

We wish to affirm that this petition dovetails into our commitment and quota towards the progress of Nation building noticeable with the accolades chalked from ; Trainees under Educate Ghana module , Trainees under Ghana Road Safety Commission ,Heal Ghana nurses working assiduously in containing COVID-19 pandemic , Trainees with the digitized Ghana module championing and executing the initiative of the digitize property addressing system, contribution of trainees under revenue Ghana Module towards revenue growth in institution like GRA and the district Assemblies.

It is our utmost appeal that the Speaker of Parliament and Parliamentarians as an important organ of government give urgent attention, and add their voice to NABCO trainees request for permanent employment to compensate our relentless efforts and years of sacrifices we’ve made towards national development, since the government attempts to renege on its promises will be *Apparent Achilles heel* ,and insignificant impact on its tauted effort by the NABCO scheme to alleviating unemployment situation in Ghana .
