Following EC’s intention to close the 2024 polls at 3pm
Following EC’s intention to close the 2024 polls at 3pm, political activist Emmanuel Abankwah Kesse has reacted to this initiative.
According to him, considering the irregularities we normally see at some polling stations and the delay in starting the voting process in some of the polling stations in the just-ended elections, he thinks the EC has more work to do to make this new initiative a success.
He added that the general public too needs to be duly informed about this new initiative because some people in the villages go to their farms and others close from work before they visit the polling station to cast their vote.
He, has therefore, suggested the voting day should be made a statutory public holiday.
